PoE Introduction
PoE (Power over Ethernet) provides 48 volts from the device side through the LAN cable, the network terminal does not need to be powered by a separate power adapter. A complete PoE system includes two parts: the PSE device and the PD device, which is the administrator of the entire PoE Power over Ethernet process. The PD device is the client device of the PoE system, i.e. the PSE load that receives the power supply.
PoE is powered by two methods: Mid-Span uses 4/5 and 7/8 wire pairs to transmit DC power, i.e. using unused free pairs in the Ethernet cable to transmit DC power, and the PSE at the corresponding endpoint supports PoE-enabled Ethernet switches; End-Span uses 1/2 and 3/6 wire pairs to transmit DC power, i.e. using different frequencies than the Ethernet data signal. The End-Span method uses 1/2 and 3/6 wire pairs to transmit DC power, i.e. the DC power is transmitted simultaneously on the core wire used to transmit the data, and the power is transmitted at a different frequency from the Ethernet data signal.

If natural power failure, no power supply, the signal can still work normally, both safe and stable;
4 In the wireless LAN, PoE can simplify the task of RF testing, access points can be easily moved and accessed.
5 Centralised power supply, one switch can power up to 8 devices at the same time for easy management, plus a single UPS can provide power to all devices in the event of a power failure.

Solution Instruction
The NF5802CST OLT is placed in the server room and the uplink port is connected to a switch, which can also be connected to a hard disk recorder, decoder etc. The PON optical port of the NF5802CST OLT is connected to a splitter placed in the destination splitter box via a fibre optic cable. The branch line of the splitter can be connected to the optical port of the PoE ONU either by optical cable or by using a skinned optical cable. Terminal devices such as network cameras and wireless APs are connected to the PoE ONU via a network cable, at which point the PoE ONU can supply power to the cameras and wireless APs as well as communicate via the network cable. If it is an ordinary ONU, it can also be connected to a PoE switch, and the PoE switch can then be connected to the camera and wireless AP.
